Today, we had an awesome lunch at the Bear’s Den. They have the best toasted bagel, chicken salad sandwich of all time! (I also had a brownie that I paid 3.50 for only because I wondered why it was 3.50 …… i’m still wondering). Had a nice lunch with a bunch of friends, then Mara and I chatted for a good hour and a half, then Rick rejoined us and I made a few stop motion movies and took a few...
Self-o-Mattic Deux

I take more pictures of myself than I probably should (although I wouldn’t say i’m a narciscist , sometimes I just want a cool new profile photo!). This morning was trying out the new Claunch 72 Monochrome film that came out, and I have to say out of all the hipstamatic b&w films, it is my favorite. It’s just so harsh and the black is completely unforgiving. I spent some time doing some different faces and poses. ALSO – the last update was awesome. One of my huge complains about HM is that it took so long between photos that sometimes you’d miss a cool moment, but now you can queue up to 10 photos to...
Rick’s Happy B...

Rick had a pretty fun get together for his birthday (complete with two cakes!). The one he is holding was a whoopie pie cake, and the other was just a magnificent marble cake from Frank’s Bakery. There was tons of food and good conversation! Overall, successful...

When I visited my brother over winter break, we went to a store that was a lot like Goodwill (lots of junk). I took a few photos (this was the only one with the mattic) – one of which was a early 20’s kid that had a shirt that said “Your mother should have swallowed”,...
A New Life

Faith, one of my colleagues, had baby Eli! Noah was being very cute with the newborn. It was an exciting process for all – we had our “staff meeting” at the hospital, and by staff meeting, I mean we all just waited in the waiting room to see the baby! Good...
Halloween 2010

Halloween is my favorite holiday of all time. Sadly, this year, I didn’t have time to decorate (I usually go all out), but it was the first time most everyone who came dressed up! I was a contestant from Legends of the Hidden Temple (google it if you don’t know – it’s...

I normally wear contacts, but this past summer I got pink-eye and it was a terrible experience and was without glasses (so therefore without vision for the most part) – and I ended up ordering some for backups, but I pretty much wear them all the time now. If you need cheap glasses...
The Corn Maize
posted by Matt
Every year we visit the corn maze in Levant, Maine. Sometimes we have more or less people (Beth, Caitlin, and I are always part of the core). This year was awesome because we had the biggest group we have ever had : Nikita, Chelsea, Will, Caitlin, Beth, Dave, and myself. I was happy to see so many of us come out. Basically, each year the people at Treworgy Farms plows their corn in a shape (this year it was a rabbit). There are trivia questions that you have to answer, and at the end of it all you get a free ice cream (some of the best, in my opinion). Great day with great...
Nikita

Nikita is one of my very best friends in the entire Earth! (I have some friends on some distant planets). She was the first person that I ever met at Upward Bound, and we’ve been friends since! This was a photo I took for her contact in my phone, it’s a bit blurry, but I like it...
Creeping

There is a woman in our town that everyone knows. She wears all black all the time, with very long dreads, usually sunglasses, and uses an umbrella as a cane. She walks with a very serious stature, and one time I heard her talking to the police in our local grocery store and she sounded...
Bonfire Amigos

Going to Amanda’s is always a great time. We were having a bonfire for Nikita’s birthday (and Ron) – this was actually after I left for a long ride back from Millinocket (from Angela’s wedding). Ryan decided to show up soon after, which made it quite an awesome party...
Angela’s Wedding

Angela is the friend whom I have had the longest in this great life of mine. We grew up together and had the best of times together in high school (actually they were some of the only good times, besides Upward Bound), so it was great being a park of her wedding this summer (I was a groomsman). The pictures span the few days from parking lot photos at the hotel to the reception hall and up to her camp (where the wedding happened). I think some of the photos came out really...
