P-Town, P-Funk involves a random excursion down to the Portland area with a story wrapped in 90s flashback boat parties, rich islands, sketchy bathrooms, geocaching, George Clinton, aliens, and flatbread!
In-Flight

I was really impressed with how some of the photos of my flight coming back to Maine came out. Using a variety of filters, I think I got some really interesting in-flight photos (I may have taken some of them before in-flight electronics were approved). It’s hard to pick a favorite because they all a different attribute that makes them intriguing. I even posted some that are only slightly different because I thought the framing came out interestingly. Hope you...

A Naval Voyage

While I was visiting my brother over winter break, I was able to get a tour of ship. At first, I wasn’t hugely excited, as I don’t care a ton for boats, and not super invested in the military, but actually being on the ship was more of a modern marvel type of moment than anything else (well, not super modern, but kind of). Just seeing all the equipment and devices was really interesting and I had a lot more fun than I had anticipated. The steps were crazy though – there were a lot of them, and they were super steep! Overall, it was a good experience, and got to see a few places people rarely get to see or be near! I do...
Space Needle

I have been out to my brothers a bunch of times, but had never made it to the space needle (well inside – we did go to the science fiction museum). I was happy that we were able to make it this time! The view was beautiful. I love being in really high (yet safe) places and having that...
Seattle

Over winter break, I was able to go out and visit my brother in Port Orchard (near Seattle), and really got to walk around a bunch. I had been there before, but in a less exploratory way. Pike Market was closed, which was a bummer because I wanted to see fish flying around, but at least got to smell it! I really like Seattle (i’m not a huge city person), and would maybe have a viable future for me if it weren’t so rainy all the time. Luckily, the day we went, the weather was perfect. I got some GREAT photos (I think), it was hard to choose a ‘main’ photo for this post. I really like the bird one, the guy on the...

While we were in D.C. for the Colbert rally we went to the zoo and whitehouse (for a few things). It was my first time there, so it was fun to walk around and see what was going on! Below is a photo of a panda at the zoo (you may remember this panda from the YouTube sneezing...

Off to Vermont

This summer, Nikita and I went camping with her family. It was a pretty good time, though I am not a huge fan of sleeping in a tent and waking up to frosty conditions, but still had a good time. We did some geocaching. One morning I woke up and there was a slug pretty much right in front of...
